Physical Spaces
I'm an Industrial Designer by trade and I got my start designing furniture and interior spaces for boutique hotels and restaurants back home in Mexico before making my move into tech. I had the chance to take a study abroad Scandinavian furniture design course in Copenhagen and when I came back I landed a job at Esrawe Studio, one of Mexico's most renowned design shops. This foundation cemented my focus on thinking spatially, in 3 dimensions and looking at experiences within the context in which they take place. It also taught me the beauty of craft. All of these core skills I now apply to complex problems and services. When I joined Forward at an early stage I was responsible for envisioning and building the design, functionality and aesthetic language of the company's entire physical footprint. This 0-1 experience allowed me to create the entire physical embodiment of a service by applying my spatial foundation, industrial design background and multidisciplinary approach.
